The problem
Orders were coming in through WhatsApp and being handled manually. Staff were reading messages, working out what the customer wanted, writing it down somewhere, and confirming by hand. Orders got missed, especially outside working hours, and nothing was properly recorded.
What I built
A WhatsApp ordering automation that receives customer messages, interprets the order using AI, replies to the customer, logs the order, and alerts the seller directly. Nobody has to sit on the phone.
How it works
- 1Customer sends a message to the business WhatsApp number
- 2WhatsApp Business Cloud API sends the message to an n8n webhook
- 3GPT interprets the message and pulls out the actual order details
- 4The workflow replies to the customer with confirmation
- 5The order is written into Google Sheets as a live record
- 6The seller gets a direct alert for anything needing a human

Result
